Hebei Construction Group was formerly known as Hebei Provincial Construction Engineering Bureau which was established in 1952. In 1983, it was reformed to Hebei Provincial Construction Engineering Company. In 1987, Hebei Provincial Construction Administration Bureau was established for the administration of construction industry in Hebei Province. It shared offices with Hebei Provincial Construction Engineering Company. In 1997, with the approval from Hebei Provincial Government, Hebei Construction Group was established consisting of Hebei Provincial Construction Engineering Company as the core and Hebei Provincial 2nd Construction Engineering Company, Hebei Provincial 4th Construction Engineering Company, Hebei Provincial Installation Engineering Company and Hebei Provincial Architectural Design and Research Institute as the close layer. In the same year, Hebei Provincial Construction Engineering Company was reformed to Hebei Construction Group Co., Ltd. and approved as a provincial State-assets authorized operation institute.
